HiveMQ 4.28.15 Maintenance Release
The HiveMQ team is pleased to announce the availability of HiveMQ 4.28.15.
This maintenance release for the 4.28 series includes the following improvements:
HiveMQ Enterprise MQTT Broker
- Added access to additional troubleshooting functionality to all new and existing suite licenses.
- Added access to the cluster TLS feature to all new and existing Professional suite licenses.
- Added access to the HiveMQ Swarm testing tool to all new and existing suite licenses.
- Added a metric to track the number of open connections per TCP and WebSocket listener, with and without TLS.
- Removed a superfluous ERROR log statement during node shutdown to reduce unnecessary output.
- Fixed an issue that could log an unnecessary error when multiple nodes leave a cluster simultaneously.
- Fixed an issue that could cause a node to prematurely throw a NullPointerException.
- Fixed a rare issue that could cause topology changes to stall when user-initiated Data Hub policy updates occur concurrently.
HiveMQ Enterprise Security Extension
- Improved the connection parameters for the SQL realm.
HiveMQ Health API
- Improved the Health API cluster component to signal a degraded state while nodes are merge after a network partition.
IMPORTANT: Starting with the next LTS version, Java 21 will be required to run the HiveMQ Platform.
We also recommend using Java 21 to run the current LTS line of the HiveMQ Platform.
If you use the official HiveMQ container images, no action is required – these images have shipped with Java 21 since HiveMQ 4.28.
Have a great day, The HiveMQ Team
